Try my Middle Eastern-inspired Tartine, a French open-faced sandwich topped with grilled Halloumi, Avocado and Pomegranate Molasses! This easy yet special tartine recipe is the perfect little bite to offer to guests along with a cool drink.
Start with halloumi. Cut the cheese block into six 0.5 inches (about 1 cm) slices (you'll have leftover halloumi). Heat a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat. Grill halloumi slices about one minute on each side or until golden brown. Set aside. When halloumi is cool enough to handle, cut each slice into three pieces.
If you have pomegranate juice, you don't need to buy pomegranate molasses. You can easily make your own at home. See this recipe for example.
