Clean eating made fun: When you crave a taco but want to keep things low-carb and healthy, serve these easy Turkey Lettuce Wraps spiced up with taco seasoning, fresh salsa, and cilantro!
So girlfriends, quick questions for you. How do you like having dinner ready to devour in no time when you get home at night (and all you want to do is open a bag of chips + Netflix & chill but you don't because you have #goals and eating chips isn't part of the plan)?
And what if this dinner is both light on those hips (remember, #goals) AND frankly super yummy? 'cause we're not doing sad steamed veggies here.
Well, guess what? I've got exactly what you need. This recipe. These Mexican-inspired turkey lettuce wraps with taco seasoning, lots of cilantro and salsa. I know, you didn't see that coming huh?
Craving a taco? Make these Easy Turkey Lettuce Wraps instead!
But hey, seriously! Turkey Lettuce Wraps are super easy to make and you'll only need one pan (less dishes to clean = always better).
The fact that you eat your serving of healthy protein in little taco-like lettuce cups makes these turkey lettuce warps cute in addition to being obviously delicious. Everything taco-something has to be delicious, right?
And you can devour a ton of these healthy lettuce wraps (like 6-8 of them!) without over-eating which, quite frankly, I find deeply satisfying. Being a glutton without gluttony-induced consequences > me likes that.
So what do you say? Try these Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps this week! Enjoy 🙂

Turkey Taco Lettuce Wraps
Clean eating made fun: When you crave a taco but want to keep things low-carb and healthy, serve these easy Turkey Lettuce Wraps spiced up with taco seasoning, fresh salsa, and cilantro!
Ingredients
- 1 teaspoon olive oil
- 1 lb. ground turkey 500 g
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 2 jalapeños de-seeded and minced
- 1 medium red onion chopped
- ¼ cup salsa ideally, choose a sugar free one
- 1 teaspoon tamari or soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
- ½ teaspoon coriander
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 3 scallions sliced thin
- 3 tablespoons cilantro chopped
- 2 baby gem lettuce or small romaine hearts ends removed
- Hot sauce optional
Instructions
-
In a large skillet, add olive oil and heat over medium-high heat. Add turkey, using a spatula to break up the meat into small pieces. Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally until all meat is cooked through and browned.
-
Then, add minced garlic, jalapeño, and chopped onion. Cook together for 5 minutes or until onions begin to soften. Stir in salsa, tamari, rice vinegar, spices, and salt. Lower heat to a simmer and let mixture cook together for another 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
-
Assemble lettuce cups: Add a few spoonfuls taco mixture to each romaine leaf. Top each with a small handful of scallions and a pinch of cilantro. Repeat until all leaves are used. Top with hot sauce & serve immediately!

Lettuce Wraps are my favorite "healthy fast food"! I love how you can create endless fillings and have the same experience as you'd have eating a taco! I have never tried a ground turkey filling! Will definitely try this one soon!
